General Warranty and Product Fault Information
What does a warranty cover?
- Faults and defects caused due to manufacturing or material defects and design faults.
What’s not covered under warranty?
- Damage caused by accident, abuse (improper use), neglect, normal wear, stunt riding, commercial use, rental use, improper assembly, improper fit, maintenance and/or assembly.
- Labour costs involved.
- Items outside of their warranty period.
- Pre-owned items (warranties are not transferable - only the original purchaser is entitled to the warranty).
How long is my product’s warranty?
Your product’s warranty period is dependent on the manufacturer. As a minimum, your product will have a warranty period that lasts 12 months, as per Australian Consumer Law. We’ve included a list of common brands, and their warranty periods below:
- Aftershokz - 2 years from date of purchase
- Cube - 6 years for most frames and forks, parts are based on each individual manufacturers warranty period
- Garmin - 1 year on all consumer products
- Merida - Lifetime warranty on the frame, 5 years on Merida branded forks, 2 years for rear suspension components, 1 year for all other Merida branded components
- Norco - 3 or 5 years, dependent on the individual model. Your model should be registered within 90 days of purchase to ensure your warranty is accepted
- Pedal Bikes - 10 years on most frames, 2 years on all parts
- Shimano - 2 years on bike components, 1 year for clothing, shoes and wheels
- Sram - 2 years for bicycle components after original purchase of the product

How do I start the warranty process?

What is required when making a warranty claim?
- Proof of purchase and matching ID
- Proof of the registration of the product, where applicable
- Evidence of the defect - photos and videos, where applicable
- Patience! There are a number of parties involved in our warranty process - You, Vinxs E-Bikes, our Suppliers
What’s the turnaround for my product’s warranty?
Your item will need to be assessed by a member of our staff. Additional assessment may need to be carried out by the manufacturer, depending on the manufacturer’s policy.
Turnaround time will be increased if your item has to be sent back back to the manufacturer, or if you send your item back to the warehouse (due to shipping time frames).
As a guideline:
- Accessories and clothing, 2 weeks
- Bike components, 2 - 4 weeks
- Bike frames and forks, 4 - 6 weeks
- Smart trainers, computers and watches, 3 - 5 weeks
What if my warranty claim is denied?
- If your claim is denied in store, we will return the item to you and discuss alternatives. Where appropriate, we will try and assist you with the purchase of a replacement item.
- If your claim is denied by the manufacturer or by the warehouse, we will contact you to confirm your delivery address and arrange payment for the appropriate shipping charges. If you don’t wish to have your item returned, then please be aware that it will be destroyed.
Pedal Bikes Warranty Information (2022-2025)
(Applies to all goods sold between 1 November 2022 - 31 October 2025)

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The warranty period is not renewed or extended as a result of a warranty repair or replacement. The sales receipt for the product must be provided asaproof of purchase when a warranty claim is made. The warranty is not transferable and is only offered to the original purchaser of the product. The warranty only applies to products purchased through Vinxs E-Bikes. Any approved warranty work must be completed by Vinxs E-Bikes. To the extent that any conditions or warranty implied by law is excludable, such a condition or warranty is excluded.
ALLOY & STEEL FRAME WARRANTY
Pedal Bike frames are warranted for life* from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. The frame is warranted for a maximum combined (weight of rider & any carried goods) carrying capacity of 100kgs. *Lifetime is defined as up to 10 years.
NON-ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WARRANTY
The following components (non-electrical) are warranted to be free from manufacture defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 2 year period from the date of original purchase: fork, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brake levers, brake calipers, brake rotors, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, spokes, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, gear shifter, kickstand, rack, mudguards. Parts may need to be returned to Vinxs E-Bikes for testing prior to replacement or repair.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WARRANTY
The following components (electrical) are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a 2 year period from the date of original purchase: motor, battery, battery charger, controller, display, wiring looms, light fittings (excluding bulbs). Parts may need to be returned to Vinxs E-Bikes for testing prior to replacement or repair.
The battery warranty will exclude damage from overcharging or power surges, use of improper non approved Pedal Bike charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear, physical damage or water damage. Age related reduction in the capacity of the battery is normal and unavoidable and as such do not constitute a fault. If the battery has a capacity of at least 60% within 2 years of purchase it will be considered acceptable. Pedal Bikes reserves the right for the battery to be returned for testing to establish the capacity before any repair or replacement is authorised.
COMPONENT EXCLUSIONS
The following components are deemed to be considered wear and tear and are NOT covered under this warranty: tyres, inner tubes, tyre valves, lamps for lighting system, battery (dry cell) for lighting system, handlebar grips, brakes pads, brake cables, gear cables, oils and lubricants, chain.
USEAGE EXCLUSIONS
The following acts are not covered under warranty: damage caused by acts of god, damage caused by improper use or force majeure, damage which results from improper or insufficient care, repairs or maintenance, alterations, modifications or the replacement of parts by persons other than trained mechanics, commercial use, accidental damage, neglect, abuse, misuse, repairs resulting from the use of second hand parts, damage caused from competitive use, damage caused by stunt riding or exceeding the bikes carrying capacity.
To obtain service under this warranty, the bicycle should be returned to the authorised Pedal dealer on the same continent from which it was purchased, in an assembled condition, together with a receipt or appropriate proof of purchase document which identifies the bicycle by frame number.
Should this bicycle or any part or accessory be determined by Vinxs E-Bikes to be defective and covered by this limited warranty, Vinxs E-Bikes will at its option, either replace or repair any defective product, part or accessory. Dealer labour charges for installing replacement parts or accessories are not covered by this limited warranty. The cost of transportation to and from an authorised Pedal dealer for repair or replacement of any defective part and/or accessory is to be borne by the owner. Should replacement be required and an exact match not be available, the closest possible substitute will be used.
The bicycle has not been designed, manufactured or sold for use at any time or place or in any manner whatsoever as a power driven vehicle, motocross, stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics, or rental, hiring or other such commercial activity and this limited warranty does not cover these acts.
